Description

The comet Neowise and a random meteor: Two visitors from outer and inner space. One of them a lonely body made of ice and dust patiently orbiting the sun in thousands of years and suddenly having its 15 minutes of fame in the spotlight of the sun when releasing gases, dust and an ionizing tail.

The other object, a dark piece of rock likely to have originated from two colliding asteriods in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter suddenly ending its life brutally when hitting the earths atmosphere some hundred kilometers above our heads. At least some of the few photons emitted in its short life ended up on my camera sensor.
