Description

* Back in the saddle! A series of mono images from 2022 *

NGC 3718 is another medium-sized galaxy but very faint compared to the other entries in this run. I knew this was going to be hard, but I’m glad I gave it a try.

The smaller galaxy NGC 3729 is resolved very well, with plenty of details in the dust lanes. You can spot Hickson compact galaxy group 56 (HCG 56) on the right side of NGC 3718, a tight group of 5 interacting galaxies that lie much farther away from us.
