Description

The Dolphin Head Nebula Sh2-308 lies about 4,500 light years away from the Earth. This cosmic bubble is the result of one of the stars in the region being in a pre-supernova stage. It is believe that the radiation from the star is pushing away the OIII and Ha gas forming a cosmic bubble.
