Description

Always wanted to take a second shot at capturing Markarian's chain of galaxies from sea level.  Definitely took a huge dent out of my disk drive storing all of the sub and calibrated files and really pushed my old gaming PC to its limits!

Some background for our newer members:
Markarian's Chain is a string of galaxies that forms part of the Virgo Cluster, a large group of galaxies in the constellation Virgo. The chain was named after Benjamin Markarian, who discovered their common motion in the 1960s. The chain includes two bright lenticular galaxies, M84 and M86, that were first discovered by Charles Messier in 1781. The chain also contains two interacting galaxies known as Markarian's Eyes, NGC 4435 and NGC 4438. The whole chain can be observed within a single field of view with a telescope.
