Description

In a widefield view filled with galaxies, M100 (NGC 4321 or the Mirror Galaxy) stands out as a face-on spiral galaxy that is part of the Virgo Cluster in Coma Berenices, and is located 56 million light-years away from Earth. The Virgo Cluster of Galaxies includes Markarian's Chain to the south, and represent the nearest big cluster of galaxies and belongs to the Virgo Supercluster, which also includes  the Local Group that includes our own Milky Way Galaxy. Version A is a wide field view that reveals 18 distinct galaxies, in addition to several dozen PGC galaxies.
