Description

Spaghetti Nebula or Sh2-240 (Sharpless 2-240) is a gigantic supernova remnant at the border between the constellations Auriga and Taurus at a distance of approximately 3000 light years from the Earth. The object  is very difficult to observe even with large telescope due to its extremely low brightness rendering it's imaging challenging.

This astrophotography was composed of 2 panels mosaic with 140 frames (600 sec each) captured during 6 nights between 4th January and 4th February, 2022.

For me this very pale object was almost impossible to capture considering the light pollution in the Skopje city center (Bortle 8_), bad weather and the Moonlight. However, the processing in PixInsight was the most difficult part of the job.
