Description

Despite the low position of this celestial wonder in my sky (it barely reaches 38 degrees above the horizon), it refuses to let the dust and light pollution dim its splendor. It shines with a radiant beauty that captivates your eyes.

The Helix Nebula, NGC 7293, about 700 light-years away in the constellation of Aquarius, is a Sun-like star in its final explosion before retirement as a white dwarf.
