Description

This is a collaboration project with my friend Renato Vilhena.

After taking 2h30m exposures using a 50mm F1.4 vintage lens at F2.2 in a Bortle 2 zone, still I had very little information of the IFN, with the IFN totally swamped by noise. After I added another session of 2h30m in same conditions.
Simultaneously I asked my friend to capture with his 50mm F2 @ F4 from a Bortle 3 zone, which yield +3hrs.

In the end my stack with 5h had a bunch of data from the IFN, but stars were unusable. The final image is a composition of my starless stack with his stack.

My stack was calibrated with darks and flats, but was hard to do a proper DBE of the image in pixinsight. I used to Siril to do the the starless image background extraction.

Interesting trivia is that my data was taken from northern hemisphere while his data from southern one.
