Description

Here's my "first light" with my new CGX-L. It amazed me that I got it on Friday and was able to ACTUALLY use it 3 nights in a row! This is just a quick trial run on NGC6992 with 4 hours of HA and 4 hours of OIII. I just put the mount together, slapped on the scopes, and did a VERY quick balance (got to fine tune this a lot with the side by side set up). Got some "gremlins" to work out, as with any new piece of equipment.....but I'm getting them solved....sort of! I processed this image a little "crispy" just to see how the tracking was (amazingly RMS with PHD was 0.12 with the cursory balance).

Anyway, hope ya like it, so far!

Tom
