Description

Wakka Wakka! This is NGC 281, also known as the Pacman Nebula. It lies about 10,000 L.Y. away in the Perseus sprial arm of our galaxy in the constellation Cassiopeia. At a magnitude of 7.40 it is visible in small telescopes. With an Oiii filter, it will appear as a bright, large, and irregular fuzzy blob with several dozen stars about it's center.
