Description

Hello friends!

This is my rendition of NGC 253.

The Sculptor is another galaxy that is difficult for me to image given its low altitude at my various dark sites.  Thus I have used data from Insight Observatory (this data was gathered from their site in Chile in 2019).

This is my second attempt at calibrating, stacking and processing LRGB mono data.

The sculptor galaxy is one of the brightest in the sky, and It is a good target for those where it rises to some altitude. Visually, NGC 253 is an impressive sight, and its disk shows complex dust lanes north of the core.  The Sculptor Galaxy has been described as a good example of Sc systems dominated by the dust pattern, dust lanes and patches of considerable complexity.

This data is available to the public by subscription here: https://starbase.insightobservatory.com/inventory

Thanks for looking,

Ian
