Description

For the Annular Eclipse, I wanted to be able to both photograph and view it in real-time. I was also mindful that the National Park was working hard to draw a lot of visitors, so I figured I might as well be able to show others a projection of the eclipse. So, I worked up a side-by-side rig with my 80mm Explore Scientific APO mounting my camera behind a Baader Solar Filter, and my 80mm Orion Short-tube mounting a "Sun Funnel Projector" using a 10mm eyepiece and a Full Spectrum Filter behind a 50mm Aperture Mask. All of this was mounted on my CG5-AGT Equitorial Mount, to track the Sun and keep the telescope rigs steady.
