Description

Located in the constellation Cygnus, this eye-catching supernova remnant, Sharpless 103, illuminates the sky with its distinct Hydrogen Alpha(red) and Oxygen III(blue) emissions that have spread into the much recognizable Veil Nebula.⁣

We are star dust.⁣

This is always a fun target to shoot in the North American summer and matches very nicely with the WO Red Cat APO refractor and the ASI2600MC One-Shot Colour astro camera.

This was shot across 5 nights just as the wild fire smoke was beginning to make its way out of the region. I’ve been feeling a bit adventurous lately and decided to really push the luminance and saturation in this rendition. I also blended in one night of RGB stars for good measure (love the true colour stars).
