Description

We had a solid five days of clear skies this past week, so I setup both of my scopes and trained them on NGC 7822.  A new target for me.  This is the result from my SV130 rig, which I love more and more every session.  I also tried NoiseX, BlurX and StarX for the first time, along with the AI Beta of GraXpert.  Lots of AI going into this image, but, as far as I understand it, nothing generative (except for StarX, which fills in the holes left by stars, but then I add the stars back, so is there really anything added?).

Anyways, I was previously hesitant on these AI tools, but the power and speed are going to make it hard to go back to anything else.  I'm glad I have a reasonable foundation of knowledge regarding denoise and deconvolution, so I can appreciate these tools, and identify where they might produce an undesirable result.

The other scope was also trained on NGC7822 for a two-panel mosaic.  Stay tuned for that.
