Description

This is some older data from one night in March 2022 that I'd never taken the time to process properly.  I revisited it, just to see what was in there, and am pleasantly surprised with the result.  I find M5 more interesting than many GCs, largely because of the nearby bright star 5 Serpentis, but what is even more striking is the enormous number of small PGC galaxies (approx. 250) in the background, in addition to the only slightly larger galaxy IC 4537, all of which become more obvious when the plate solving annotations are viewed.  Hopefully you'll enjoy this as much as I do, after taking a closer look.
