Description

NGC 6255 is a rarely imaged galaxy. The blue object near the left edge is actually another galaxy HS 1653+3634 according to SIMBAD.

[SPD2011] 52385 galaxy cluster near the center of the image is has a redshift 0.347, so the distance is about 3.9 billion light years.
NSC J165601+363031 cluster on the left is 2.5 billion light years away (redshift 0.206).

There is a very distant quasar with redshift 5.15 in the top right area of the image (please see the annotated revision B). The light from this quasar has traveled 12.5 billion years!

Thanks for looking.
