Description

Dear all,

this is my shot of Lbn 468 in Cepheus, taken from Bellosguardo, Salerno, Italy in October 2021 (SQM 21,20, Bortle 4).

Lum 42x300s bin1
RGB 16x300s bin1 each.

All shots unguided.

Very interesting is the presence of a Herbig-Haro object (HH 215), formed near the star PV Cephei (bottom right).  Due to the interaction of the collimated jets of ionized gas coming from the protostar with the nearby intestellar medium, this phenomenon tends to produce a nebula that varies in brightness, even in the course of a few years!
