Description

Another new target as I explore the possibilities of longer focal length imaging with my Meade 12in F8 ACF (0.67 reducer).

Took the subs for this a wek or two ago over two nights, but only now getting round to processing. Just came upon this looking for a target I could image most of the night during new moon. L at 45s, RGB at 90s and Ha at 300s. Total around 10 hours, but could do with some more really esp as seeing was a bit rubbish for much of this.

Some interesting dark area across much of the outer arms on one end... dark nebula between us and the galaxy maybe?

NIce pair of barred spirals at right a bonus.

Stacked APP and processed in Startools and then finished in PS.
