IC 443, also known as the Jellyfish Nebula, is a galactic supernova remnant located in the constellation Gemini. It is situated near the star Eta Geminorum on the plane of the sky. The Jellyfish Nebula is the result of a supernova explosion that occurred in our galaxy approximately 5,000 light years away from Earth. This beautiful remnant of the explosion appeared between 3,000 to 30,000 years ago. The IC 443 nebula is characterized by its enormous bubble and arcs of nebulosity. It is a captivating object for astronomers to observe and study.
