Description

Rarely imaged, dwarf spheroidal galaxies NGC 147 and NGC 185 are satellites of M31. Moreover, they are gravitationally bound to each other and to recently discovered dwarf galaxy Cassiopeia II. Thus, all three galaxies orbit around their shared center of mass, while that center of mass itself orbits around M31. None of the three galaxies appear to have disturbed structure, so it is surmised that the system's orbit around M31 does not take the galaxies anywhere near M31's disk.
