Description

Sharpless2-240, AKA Simeis 147 AKA The Spaghetti nebula, a tight squeeze to fit in to the camera sensor.
This italian food nebula, lies around 3000 light years away from earth., and spans around 160 light years across.
Sharpless2-240, aka the Spaghetti Nebula or Simeis 147, a supernova remnant (SNR) in the Milky Way, in the constellations Auriga and Taurus.
The nebula was discovered by using a Schmidt camera in 1952, by Grigory Shajn and his team.
