Description

Shot of Jupiter, with Europa seen off to the right! (Io is just out of frame). Taken on 8/28 about 12:47 am. This is a stacked image of 60 seconds (30% best of 1905 frames, each at 25 ms), with a 3X Focal Extender.

I've been using Stellarium as a fantastic tool for planning sessions for Jupiter: it's the easiest way I've found to simulate Jupiter ephemeris, allowing you to find exact timings of lunar transits and other details, such as GRS timings.  You can use either the app or the web tool -- Stellarium Web Online Star Map (stellarium-web.org) -- and look forward or backwards in time.

I've captured over 100 GB of Jupiter data from the last 2 or 3 weeks (most of it probably crap!), including a nice Ganymede transit from last weekend. Now I just need to find time to process some images!
