Description

Abell 33 is a large and faint planetary nebula located about 2,700 light years away, in the constellation Hydra which shows a very regular morphology of a perfectly circular shape. Inside, a diffuse elliptical structure is observed, inscribed within a thin circular shell.
The images in Halpha and [OIII] do not show differences in the shape, but rather in the flow, as in Halpha it appears less bright, a clear indication of a condition of high excitation on the part of the central star which at the moment should be on the horizontal branch of the combustion of the 'hydrogen in shell

It is located right behind the star HD 83535, and it is the latter that is responsible for the ring effect seen in the photograph.
