Description

At the centre of the Heart Nebula (IC 1805) is an open star cluster called Melotte 15, which contains bright stars that are about 50 times as massive as our own Sun. The stars of Melotte 15 are blasting the surrounding hydrogen and causing it to emit light, powering the Heart Nebula's beautiful glow. Also visible are massive cosmic clouds sculpted by stellar winds and radiation from the massive hot stars within Melotte 15.
The Heart nebula is located in the constellation Cassiopeia about 7,500 light years from Earth…

This is the last image with my, recently acquired, Celestron EDGE HD until ‘Galaxy Season’ as I’m now focusing on using my Esprit 100ed and Redcat 51 over the winter months….
