IC63 is the "Ghost" portion of the Gamma Cassiopeia Nebulae (which also comprises IC59, not depicted here).  The top edges of Ghost's cape glow strongly, illuminated by radiation from the bright star Gamma Cassiopeiae (aka Navi) just above the field frame.

Initially, I planned to do a simple Ha-mono version of IC63.  But I also captured some short RGB subs to give me the option of incorporating RGB stars.  Ultimately, I opted to lead with a non-traditional interpretation:  the Ghost figure in ghoulish grey, set amidst a backdrop of RGB stars.

[For comparison, I've also included a simple Ha-mono version, and a more traditional HaRGB version (with Ha mapped primarily to red).]
