Description

NGC 3109 is only 4.34 million light years away from us, located in constellation of Hydra belongs to the Local Group (with extension about 10 million light-years) close enough that is possible to resolve individual stars. This is picture is taken from inner São Paulo State  2023- May-19, 19h46m - 20h35m (UTC-3) with only 21minues and 2s exposition time with 200mm f/2 astrograph. According to Lausten et. alii. 1987 a galaxy can only be gravitationally bound to the local group it is less than about 5 million years from the common center of gravity. Andromeda galaxy seems to be the dominant in the local group of galaxies.
