Description

This is one of the most peculiar stars in the galaxy in being the strongest magnetic star around us, of which only handful exist in their spectral class. The attendant nebulae (the brighter of which are classified as NGC6164 and NGC6165) are not part of a PN shell bur rather gas ejected by the bright Of star at the centre. As such they are not to be classified as emission nebulae in the classical way (in fact there isn't that much H-alpha emission in those knots) but rather as broadband emission nebulae.

I had hope to come with good rendering for this object (for this is what we do, not Art nor Craft) but it seems this object is kind of jinxed. All attempts to come up with a good set of frames, short or long, has been frustrated by all sort of mishaps and I have finally thrown in the towel, for the moment at least. Given the poor SNR I decided that a lower resolution is going to do and that is what is shown here.
