Description

Since bringing the QHY 294M online it had not been tried with the SW 120 Esprit OTA.  36mm Astronomik R,G,B,CLS filters. The scope also used the Falcon rotator which required guiding with a 60mm guide scope because the OAG stalk would not quite clear the rotator body in this configuration.  The Riccardi reducer yielded a FL of 633mm. So lots of new things to test and sort out.  In addition the choice of M-20 at ~-23 DEC was deep into the light polution of Dallas Texas whose core lies ~40 miles to the south.  60 sec subs (RGB&L) were found to be usable from about 2.5 hours East to 2 hours West of the meridian for this low declination.

Images were calibration and combined using the WBPP script in PI with automatic local normalization enabled.  Each filter master had DBE applied a mild MLT noise reduction before making the RGBL.  PCC worked fine. Mild masked sharpening done in Photoshop CS2.
