Description

After processing that disaster, I took, of M101(I decided not to subject you all to it), I decided to process a Pro Data Set of M 8 (Lagoon Nebula) and it's surrounding area. This data comes from Telescope Live's AUS-2 FSQ-106ED/FLI PL16803. This is 21 subs S, H, O, @450s combined in the regular Hubble Palette.

Lying at an estimated distance of 4,000-6,000 light-years from Earth, the Lagoon Nebula has dimensions of about 50 x 110 light-years.....this image is centered on the nebula but it's only a small part of the entire image which contains the Trifid Nebula and numerous Molecular Clouds. I've got some real good data from DSW of just the Lagoon Nebula but I'm still working on it.

Anyway, I though ya might like this wide-field version!
