Imaged Comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF) and Mars on the night of February 10, 2023. I captured both widefield (see:
https://astrob.in/g17uau/0/) and this closer-up view of meeting. I love the contrast of ZTF's green and Mars' orange/red hues. I went with shorter subs since Mars is so bright and the glow was blowing out the field.
Imaged with Astrotech AT60 at F/4.8 (288 mm focal length) using Astrotech ATRF60 field flattener/0.8x reducer, UVIRcut filter, and full spectrum modified Nikon D5300. Total integration time of ~8 minutes from 17 subs at ISO200 x 30 sec.
Pre-processed using Pixinsight's weighted batch pre-processing script (WBPP) to perform calibration, debayering, registration.
