Description

Another rarely-imaged planetary nebula - presumably as a result of its extreme faintness. It sits in the constellation Hydra at around 2400 light years from Earth. Two very distant tiny galaxies accompany it's western (right hand side) limb. It is 290 arc seconds in diameter.  This deep image reveals what appears to be a double rim structure, suggesting that it may be a bi-polar PN viewed almost end-on.
