Vor Kurzem habe ich mir eine ALccd5L-IIc (QHYCCD QHY 5L-II-C) angeschafft und sogleich ausprobiert.

Hierzu wollte ich diese am Jupiter testen. Ich habe zwar "nur" ein 80mm Teleskop bin aber erstaunt, was damit möglich war. Zur Vergrößerung der Brennweite habe ich zwei 2x Barlow-Linsen hintereinander eingesetzt. Das Endbild habe ich stark beschnitten.

Das AVI wurde mit EZPlanetary als 2 min Sequenz mit einer Belichtung von ca. 60 ms aufgenommen und anschliessend mit Autostakkert gestackt und ein wenig mit Photoshop bearbeitet. Das Bild ist deshalb so grau, da ich den Weißabgleich nicht eingestellt hatte.

Ich weiß, diese Ausrüstung ist nicht unbedingt für Planeten geeignet, aber mir reicht es und ich möchte die Kamera künftig auch zum Guiden benutzen.

Bei diesem Test war es auch das erste Mal, dass ich the Großen Roten Fleck sehen konnte.

Recentley I bought a ALccd5L-IIc (QHYCCD QHY 5L-II-C) and tested it.

To do that, I chose Jupiter. Although I "only" got a 80mm scope, I'm astonished what was possible.

To enlarge the focal length, I used two 2x Barlow-Lenses and the final picture is strongely cropped.

The AVI is a 2 min sequence with an exposure of ca. 60 ms captured with EZPlanetary, stacked with Autostakkert and a little processing with Photoshop. It's gray because I didn't adjust the White-Balance.

I know my equipment isn't the best for planets, but it's enough for me and I want to use the camera as Guiding-Cam in the future.

During the test it was also the first time for me to see the Great Red Spot.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
