Description

3 clear nights of summer time work to gather SHO and RGB stars. My first time trying to combine NB and RGB stars. Yes, there absolutely is a problem all around the edges with coma or pinched optics. Just too much time spent on this project to throw it in the trash so let's see if anyone can relate to this:

Night 1: Equipment running great, data looks great, but hmmm. Edge stars look weird. That's ok, I'll tweak backfocus on Night 2 and stack out because I'll get more data next night.

Night 2: Lots of  absolutely perfect dark sky time with no wind, but... those stars still look weird after an hour of tweaking. No problem, lets make this my first RGB stars/NB composite project!

Night 3: 3 hours of tweaking backfocus only to realize its not me, its you (talking about the reducer. the .72 has a flaw at least with APS-C that no other flattener/reducer I use regularly has displayed so far) Yes, first time using a brand new reducer and I blindly trusted it would be great like the other reducers I use on a regular basis made by the same company.

Title: Starless beauty

Description: I love this picture with all the color and vibrant complexity. Not much can be done with the mega bright star on the 'broom' itself so I don't fault the algorithm one bit. Just don't look at that grey star void! :)
