Description

I could just fit both the iris and the ghost in this shot! This is my first attempt at long, deep LRGB imaging, and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn't know if I would be successful, given I'm in a Bortle 5 area, but seems to work. I will need to be upgrading my RGB filters though; lots of ghosting with the Zwo filters.
I'm always taken aback by the sheer amount of dust floating around us. Surprisingly though, nebulae are at most 16 orders of magnitude less dense than the air we breathe! Pretty surprising these "basically a vacuum" regions have just enough matter to appear dense and dynamic from our perspective.
