I’m so pleased that I finally managed to capture the International Space Station transiting the moon!
Travelling at 7.4 kilometres per second (4.6 miles per second), it only took 0.57 seconds for the ISS (with its 6 astronauts) to pass in front of the moon, so timing was crucial!
Here is one of the photos from a burst that I captured early on the morning of January 13, 2020.
Camera and lens used: Sony a7R III, Sony 200-600mm G lens at 600mm.
Settings: 1/3200 second, f/8, ISO 800.
