Just in time for the holiday season, I came across this target looking through this website and was completely enamored with the vast array of colors in NGC 2170. To my dismay, this target is one of those that just creeps in between two trees in my yard. Most of my southern exposure is blocked by the trees, but I don't have it in me to cut them down.
And so, once again, I set out to try to get 1-2 hours of exposures each night. I definitely got way more subs of leaves than I did this target
It is also clearly a highly trafficked area of the sky because EVERY sub had multiple satellite trails. This presented me with the opportunity to learn about adaptive rejection and adjustment of kappa high setting in Astro Pixel Processor, which worked admirably to remove these while preserving good data.
After several nights and much tinkering, I think this is as good as I'm going to get for the time being!
