Description

I wanted to try the same setup and technique used for planetary nebulas on small and relatively faint galaxies, so I imaged this rather unusual galaxy with my Celestron 6 at F6.1 (915 mm) with 5s exposures.

Considering the rather shoddy transparence of the night and the limited overall time integration, the result is definitely positive.

Indeed, right above (midway to the upper border) NGC2537, the sixteen magnitude galaxy NGC2537A can be glimpsed, and in a position to the left, forming a sort of rectangular triangulum with the other two, one can perceive PGC3131069, of magnitude 16.12 .
