Description

Lots of little galaxies, and one (sort of) big one.  All in the constellation Pegasus.

In the upper right is Caldwell 30, the largest (in apparent size) member of the Deer Lick Group of galaxies. The smaller galaxies in the group are sometime refered to as the 'fleas'.

In the lower left is Stephan's Quintet. There are actually six galaxies in this area, five of which form the Quintet. Four of these five galaxies are interacting with each other (a group known as Hickson 92). NGC 7320 appears to be the largest, but is actually not a member of the Hickson group, as it is only 40M light years away compared to the 300M light year distance of the others.

Fun fact: The quintet was used to depict the angels in the beginning of the movie It's a Wonderful Life.

No star removal/reduction (yet). Photometric calibration in Siril. Only minor adjustments in Photoshop.
