Description

NGC7129 is a nicely structured reflection nebula around young blue stars. With enough exposure time the surrounding dark nebulae also come out, but this is borderline in my city sky. Additionally the nebula contains some Herbig-Haro objects, which produce small red hydrogen nebulae by their jets. Also in the image is the star cluster NGC7142, one of the oldest in the Milky Way. In the star cluster on the lower right you can see the red carbon star IRC +70172.
