Description

NGC 6744 is one of the apparently largest galaxies in the sky. Its true diameter is about 150 000 light-years. NGC 6744A is a dwarf galaxy.


The picture was taken during the CEDIC team's 14-day stay at Rooisand Desert Farm in Namibia. The equipment was hired locally by DeepskySafaris.
