Processed by Alex Woronow (2022) using PixInsight, Topaz, StarNet2, SWT

This is a mosaic of two images showing a region in the constellation Cepheus, bordering Draco. (According to Wikipedia, “•  In the TV sitcom 3rd Rock from the Sun, the aliens' home planet is stated to be located in a barred spiral galaxy on the Cepheus-Draco border.)

The image was mosaiced according to the detailed technique presented by Kayron Merciecca. I find it remarkable that the mosaic boundary is completely disappeared. Separately, the images had different tints and hues, as well as elongated stars) across their shared boundary!

To bring out all the cloud detail, the stars were removed, later to be replaced using a PixInsight Script I developed (and am willing to share). Overall, I am quite pleased with the result. I hope you find the image a bit to your liking too.

Alex
