Description

An interesting, nearly perfect disk shaped galaxy with tightly wound spiral arms. Very intricate dust lane patterns, but almost no active star forming regions.
The small galaxy in the bottom right is PGC26572.

Captured with a monochrome camera and L,R,G,B filters. Nearly full moon for much of the time, but it was the only gap in otherwise persistent cloudy weather. Really struggled getting a good color balance with this image, maybe interference from the moon.

Update: For Revision B I got more green and much more blue data. Color balance was easy to achieve, and there is a little more color detail.

B

Description: Added two more hours of green and four more hours of blue data, and reprocessed. The final result looks very similar to the first revision, but was much easier to achieve. The SPCC in PixInsight worked pretty well this time (using Sa Galaxy as white reference), the color is more uniform, and blue features are better defined.
