Description

Dolphin Nebula, one of my dream targets. One that i cannot get from my house.  A beautiful diffuse nebula near the center of the constellation Canis Major.  Only "4,530 light-year away from Earth",  Target that has been captured in Texas this November. The data is collaboration of Terry Felty, Gian Lorenzo Ferretti, Scotty Bishop, Ewa Pasiak and Dawn Lowry. Image edited by Ewa Pasiak.
Data has been collected under Bortle 1 skies at the ranch of Mike Shurley near Marfa Texas. Far, far away from my home in Ontario.  Skies were priscine, weather was warm, at least by my standard and company and host were amazing.  We had 18 telscopes set up, and sometimes all working. Of course we had our share of technical difficulties, but as a team we passed a test.  Everyone was helping everyone and i believe the results prove it.
