Description

Mizar and Alcor appear as a double star in the handle of the Big Dipper in the Ursa Major Constellation however, when viewed with a telescope Mizar turns out to be a double star in itself called Mizar A and Mizar B. When I was processing the pic I first thought Mizar was out of focus from the oblong shape then looked it up and was pleasantly surprised that it was indeed a double star.
