Description

Spotty weather, and seeing that amplified the challenges inherent in RA guiding error near the celestial equator, made this capture tough, but I managed to pull sixteen and a half hours of data on this object over a couple Moon cycles.

Similarly to @Kurt Zeppetello , I had been inspired to shoot this after seeing @Michael Feigenbaum 's version of this. Thanks for leading the way, Mike!

Galaxies always make me wish for my own 1-meter telescope on a mountain in Chile. No matter how I fuss and fret, there is only so much detail that my equipment and skills can reveal. If I had that big telescope then theoretically half of those two factors would be remedied.

Title: 1x Drizzle integration

Description: I am experimenting with 1x drizzle integration on some images because it apparently works better for color rendition with OSC data.

I think the colors were better rendered with this iteration? I did change some other details in my workflow, but I feel like I got just a little better detail in some Ha and blue/OIII (?) regions in the galaxies, and less CA like issues with the stars than when I used debayer and separate R/G/B integration.
