Description

When I started out with astronomy (I was 15 and had a 4" home built dobsonian), the Double Double was one of my favourite targets to view. Using my telescope from the middle of the city, it was difficult to see many objects except planets and double stars. I loved being able to explain to people that the double star they were seeing was actually four stars if you looked close enough!

Here's my attempt at imaging this classic group of stars. Although the RASA doesn't have the resolution in order to discern each double, I think it turned out as a nice contrast to the (insanely) bright Vega next door.
