Description

The Triangulum Galaxy is a great astrophotography target in mid October, being well above the horizon just after dark and almost straight up at its zenith in the mid northern latitudes. It’s a face-on spiral galaxy in the constellation Triangulum that’s about 2.7 million light years from Earth. This galaxy is one of the most distant objects humans with good eyesight can see with their naked eyes under a non-light polluted sky, which means there’s no way I’m seeing it without a telescope.
