Galaxies M95 & M96.....M95 shows a Supernova!

Description

Here is an image taken on April 20, 2012 with a HyperStar III on my Celestron C11 of the Galaxies M95 (on the lower left) & M96 (on the right of M95). I was able to capture (20) exposures each being (5) minutes long. I took (30) Flats, (30) Bias & (10) Darks. There is a huge Supernova located on the lower left side of M95. It is one of the closest Supernova explosions that we have witnessed here on Earth. The Star recently blew up a couple months ago. M95 is 38 million light years away while M96 is 31 million light years away. They are both located in the constellation Leo.

Equipment used was: Celestron Nexstar 11 SCT with a Mitty Wedge, Hyperstar III, Starlight Xpress SXVR-M25C with an IDAS Filter, Stellarvue Raptor Scope with a SX Lodestar Guiding Camera, Starizona Remote MicroFocus, Icron Powered USB, Maxim DL 5.0, Starry Night Pro, Adobe Photoshop CS5.1, ADM Mounting Hardware, Sony Vaio Laptop (High Res Screen Graphics), and my Backyard under Dark Skies.
