Here is my 2023 capture of the Rosette nebula. All images are captured with a TS-Optic UNC quartz 200/800 and an ASI294MC Pro at -10°, gain 121. The result is a composite image made of 249x300s subs with a l-ultimate for Ha and Oiii, as well as 37x180s subs with a uv/ir cut for RVB stars. Ha and Oiii layers were extracted using SIRIL. The mapping is the usual HOO slightly improved as follow : Ha for red, (0.3xHa+0.7xOiii)x1.2 for green and Oiiix1.2 for blue. The three layers were assembled in GIMP. This provided the base layer to make a starless with starnet++ that is then improved using astrosurface. The star layer was produced straightforwardly with SIRIL, before getting a starless from Starnet++ to get the stars isolated by difference in GIMP.
