Description

This fine pair of galaxies can be found in the constellation of Leo and are located approximately 32 million light years from earth. Messier 95 (left hand side of the image) is a barred spiral galaxy which can easily be seen from the shape in the core of the galaxy. Messier 96 is an intermediate spiral galaxy. Both galaxies fit nicely into the field of the view of my 100mm F9 refractor and the Canon 60Da DSLR.
